To celebrate the 52nd anniversary of both the KADIWA and Binhi and the 56th of the Christian Brotherhood International (CBI), members of these youth organizations in the ecclesiastical districts of Bulacan and Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines, held special gatherings on October 11 and 12, 2025, respectively.

Bulacan

District supervising minister Brother Augusto T. Galapon officiated the special gathering in Bulacan specifically held at the house of worship of Sta. Barbara Congregation. In his Bible-based preaching, he reminded the youth to remain steadfast in obeying God’s commandments, especially in living a life of holiness.

“I’ll safeguard my faith. I will never conform to wrongdoings. I’ll always live in accordance with God’s will,” said Binhi officer Nicko Pelagio in an interview afterwards. “God’s teachings I’ve received is a great help to me as I strive to be role model among my brethren-students, which is my way to be of help in guiding them,” said district Christian Brotherhood International officer Ericka Salines.

Tacloban

Held at Tacloban City Congregation’s house of worship, the special gathering in Leyte was officiated at by district supervising minister Brother Raul Ramirez Sr. In his homily, he emphasized the essential qualities that the youth must acquire not only to succeed in life, but more importantly, to remain steadfast in the faith and receive salvation on Judgment Day. Among these qualities, he said, citing the Bible, are: being respectful and obedient to parents, being role models of strong faith, and being fully dedicated to serve the Lord God, and pursuing knowledge with discernment—careful not to be swayed by worldly ideologies that contradict God’s teachings.

“The lesson I received today is both timely and helpful, especially in a time when false information is widely spread. Being grounded in God’s words helps me resist temptation and stay firm in my calling,” said KADIWA member Dave Villalobos from the Local Congregation of San Jose. “For that I’m thankful to the Lord God, for the Administration He placed in the Church that tirelessly labors for the members’ salvation.”

“I’ve been inspired to be even more dedicated—not only in my studies but, more importantly, in serving the Lord God,” said CBI member Grace Esmeralda from the Tacloban City Congregation. “I’m fully aware that attaining wisdom in this world is invaluable, but performing my duties in the Church is far more important. It is through this that I give glory to God and blessed to continue to experience being close to Him, until I receive His promise of eternal life.”

With the youth in the district having been taught God’s will for them, district Christian Family Organizations overseer Brother Jean Paul Clutario shared the district’s aspiration: “As they strive for wisdom and success, may they remember this occasion for them to always value their Church membership, so that they may be deemed worthy of receiving eternal life.” — With reports from Federica Libunao
