Thankful to God for their district’s reaching 70 years, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Misamis Occidental, Philippines, commemorated this milestone anniversary by sharing their faith.

For this, they invited guests, totaling 804, to the evangelical mission for the proclamation of God’s words that was conducted on October 17, 2025 at the Tangub City People’s Gymnasium as the main venue.

The other venues, connected via videoconferencing, were the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of Calamba, Looc, and Lopez Jaena.

Brother Benjamin T. delos Reyes, a senior instructor from the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) School For Ministers, was sent by the Church Administration to lead the study of God’s words. He expounded on the biblical truth that it is a calling from God that people join the true Church established by Christ for them to be able to conduct the proper way of worshiping God and thus be saved.

A number of guests, including twins Niel Nathalie and Niel Nethanlyn Saturion, expressed desire to know more about the Iglesia Ni Cristo and its faith. “Very eye opening, I feel so honored. I came here with an open heart and an open mind. I never thought to be invited to an activity like this, especially for a different religion,” said Nathalie. “I can’t wait to be welcomed or invited again, to try another experience of this Church,” added Nethanlyn.

The brethren’s collective effort in the name of Christian unity was believed to have contributed to the event’s success. “I’ve a busy schedule at work but that does not mean I’m hindered from uniting with the Church Administration’s call of unity in activities like this for I firmly believe that this brings glory to the Lord God,” said head deacon Rowen Cris Pabiona of Bonifacio Congregation.

The fruitful turnout of the evangelistic event was attributed most of all to God’s help, as district Light of Salvation overseer Brother Eleazar Ducusin asserted: “[He] willed that we conduct this activity so that more nonmembers become knowledgeable of the truth written in the Bible, that they must become members of the true Church to be saved on Judgment Day.”
