As the National Council for Children’s Television (NCCT) marked its 28th founding anniversary, the Council reaffirmed its mission of fostering a media landscape that is child-friendly, educational, value-laden, and age-appropriate. The celebration was held on October 24, 2025 (Friday), at The Heritage Hotel Manila, Pasay City.
INCTV was honored by the National Council for Children’s Television (NCCT) for its strong commitment to producing child-friendly programming. The network was presented with an award recognizing its outstanding adherence to the Child-Friendly Content Standards (CFCS). In addition, two of its shows—Little Juan’s Playlist and INC News Jr.—each received awards for exemplary compliance with CFCS.
Sister Darlene Pineda, the director and writer for Little Juan’s Playlist, expressed heartfelt appreciation as the program received its award from the NCCT, recognizing its commitment to producing quality, child-friendly content.
“On behalf of everyone who poured their hearts into Little Juan’s Playlist, we are profoundly honored and grateful to receive this recognition,” said one of the representatives from the production team. “Our inspiration comes from the memorable children’s television of the 1990s and early 2000s—shows that were both fun and educational. Just as their creators invested time, effort, and love to make meaningful content, that is exactly what we strive to provide for today’s generation of children.”
During the event, Dr. Maria Lourdes Carandang, President and Founder of the Institute for Psychosocial Services, Inc., emphasized the importance of recognizing and validating children’s emotions as part of their emotional and moral development.
When asked how the NCCT platform supports advocacy work for children’s welfare, Dr. Carandang expressed gratitude for the opportunity to share insights and connect with others who share the same goals.
“I’m very grateful that there’s a platform that listens. Earlier, everyone was attentive to what each speaker had to share. When we listen to our children, to each other, and to ourselves, we build a community that understands and uplifts one another,” she said. “That sense of community gives us strength—and that’s something very Filipino because we are naturally a collective culture.”
INCTV expressed deep gratitude to the NCCT for recognizing the network as an Outstanding Child-Friendly Television Network.
According to Brother Oliver Pingol, the network’s representative, the award reflects the Iglesia Ni Cristo Administration’s ongoing mission to help nurture children’s character, strengthen their moral values, and uphold Christian culture. “It is our shared goal that as they grow, the youth will become responsible citizens and good examples to others,” he said.
He also extended thanks, above all, to the Almighty God for His continuous guidance through the Church Administration. “We are grateful to our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, and to our Deputy Executive Minister and President & CEO of CEBSI, Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, for their leadership and dedication in developing programs that inspire and educate the youth,” he added.
Brother Bernard Dollesin, INCTV Station Manager, expressed his gratitude to everyone who continues to dedicate their talents to the network’s mission—from the production staff and editors to the videographers and creative teams whose collective efforts make every program possible.
“This recognition is truly a blessing, and all glory and praise belong to our Almighty God,” he said. “We share this honor with the entire INCTV family and with the NCCT, as we continue to work toward a future where every Filipino child enjoys media that not only entertains but also enlightens—shaping a generation that is God-fearing, responsible, and compassionate toward others.”
