“I’m deeply grateful to God that I was able to join the true Church Of Christ,” expressed newly baptized member Antonio Sanchez from the Local Congregation of Salvacion.

Sanchez and other prospective members were baptized at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Maasin, Ecclesiastical District of Southern Leyte, in the Philippines, on October 24, 2025.

District supervising minister Brother Edgardo Gonzales led the gathering for the prospective members who completed the requirements for baptism. Citing verses from the Bible, he taught that for people to become disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, to be forgiven of their sins, and ultimately, be saved on Judgment Day, they need to receive the true baptism.

After the study of God’s words, the prospective members took their oath of membership before being baptized.

Another newly-baptized member, Gibinson Suaybaguio, from the Local Congregation of Hilongos, also thanked God for being baptized and promised that “here, in the Church, I will be fervent and zealous in my service until the end.”

The brethren who were instrumental to the new members’ conversion also attended the gathering to welcome them into the Church.

“It’s important to help in this work because it demonstrates our love and unity in serving God,” choir member Rodila Sapine from the Local Congregation of Salvacion explained. “I’m deeply thankful to God that the person I invited in the Church was baptized and is now a full-fledged Church member. I commit in continuing my efforts in God’s work of propagation.” — With assistance from Roland D. Romero
