Following the approval of the Church Administration, San Agustin Group Worship Service (GWS) in the Ecclesiastical District of Tacloban City, Leyte, was formally established. The inaugural worship service was held at the residence of deaconess Betty Gelig, located in Barangay San Agustin, Jaro, Leyte, on October 22, 2025.

In his Scripture-inspired homily, district supervising minister Raul V. Ramirez urged the brethren to diligently follow God’s teachings and remain steadfast in the faith, especially in these times that the end of the world draws near. He reminded the congregation that by remaining faithful, they will ultimately reach the Holy City that God has prepared for His chosen people.

“With profound gladness in our hearts, we thank the Lord God for the establishment of the San Agustin GWS. The brethren will no longer have to travel far to attend worship services or any other Church activities and special gatherings,” said Brother Samuel Kamid, Jaro Congregation’s resident minister, who also oversees the said GWS.

“I am so happy that today, I have witnessed the inaugural worship service here in Barangay San Agustin,” said Gelig. “From now on, it will be much easier for the brethren to attend worship services, as it is now held right here in our community.”

“We are thankful to the Church Administration for the establishment of the GWS here in Barangay San Agustin. This marks the beginning of evangelizing the residents of this barangay and nearby communities, so that more people may return to the true worship of the one true God,” expressed Brother Ramirez on behalf of the brethren. —With reports from Joey Malawit Jr.
