In November 1996, the former Local Congregation of Navarro was renamed F. Manalo under the Ecclesiastical District of Cavite. The renaming was approved by the then Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), Brother Eraño G. Manalo, in honor of God’s Messenger in these last days, Brother Felix Y. Manalo.
A little over a year later, on February 9, 1998, the construction of the concrete house of worship situated in Barangay Navarro in General Trias, Cavite, began. The completed house of worship was dedicated to God on July 9, 1999, through a worship service officiated by Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, then the Deputy Executive Minister. That was the first time he officiated in this local congregation. The adjacent road where the house of worship was built was eventually renamed to F. Manalo.
From its rural beginnings, Barangay Navarro progressed and has now become a bustling area filled with subdivisions and establishments. The Local Congregation of F. Manalo has also experienced a significant growth in membership—tripling since 1999. The brethren have remained united with the Church Administration and have been active in all Church activities.
The brethren were filled with joy upon learning that the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, would return to their local congregation after 26 years to lead a special worship service on May 10, 2025—a date that also marked the 139th birth anniversary of Brother Felix Manalo.
On the early morning of May 10, the brethren began arriving at the designated holding area. Despite the warm weather and the rising sun, their hearts were filled with eagerness and excitement, overflowing with joy.
Brother Manuel N. Santos, the district supervising minister, led the opening prayer. The Executive Minister then preached the words of God, calling on the brethren to always remember and value the sacrifices of God’s Messenger in these last days by faithfully upholding a life according to God’s teachings.
Citing as an example written in the Bible about athletes who endure hardship during their training and competitions in pursuit of a temporal reward, Brother Eduardo Manalo reminded the brethren to remain focused on their goal—to receive the heavenly reward on Judgment Day. Through the Holy Scriptures, the Executive Minister exhorted the brethren to be strong and steadfast, and to never stop serving God, as the Almighty will never forget the labor of His faithful servants and is ready to heed their prayers.
After the Executive Minister’s sermon, a prayer was led by Brother Romer D. Galang. Then, 36 regular ministerial workers took their oath as ministers of the gospel. The oath-taking was led by Brother Bienvenido C. Santiago. After the laying on of hands by the Executive Minister, a prayer was led by Brother Arnel R. Canicosa. Brother Arnel A. Tumanan led the prayer for the voluntary offerings. The benediction was said by Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo.
Indeed, the pastoral visit of the Executive Minister left a profound and lasting impact. For the members of the Local Congregation of F. Manalo, it was more than just a special day—it was a spiritual milestone, the fulfillment of a long-awaited hope, and a reaffirmation of their commitment to remain united with the Church Administration and to faithfully live by God’s teachings.
