A total of 1,200 Church officers from different local congregations in the Bataan South Ecclesiastical District took their oath of duty during a special gathering held at the house of worship of Abucay Congregation on November 2, 2025.
The special gathering of all Church officers from the district was officiated by the Church’s Edification Overseer Brother Arnel A. Tumanan. He delivered an inspiring sermon based on the Bible, urging all the attendees to uphold their God-given duties with fervor and sincerity and lead by example the brethren entrusted to their care. He then cited inspiring biblical messages that great blessings await those who are able to fulfill what God expects of His servants.
Before the sermon, district supervising minister Brother Melvin Cayabyab led the opening prayer. Brother Tumanan himself led the prayer after his homily.
The oath-taking of the new officers that followed was administered by assistant supervising minister Brother Manolo Viloria, and the prayer after that was led by the district edification overseer Brother Henry Braganza.
“I felt true happiness for this duty is God’s love for me,” said newly sworn deacon Lerby David from the Balanga Congregation. “I will faithfully fulfill my Church duties until I receive the promised salvation.”
“I was very glad for God has entrusted me this duty,” said newly sworn multimedia officer Kristalyn Basco from Palayanbayan Congregation. “Despite the many challenges in life, I will wholeheartedly fulfill and remain dedicated in my God-given obligation.”
