From October to November 2025, Church officers from the local congregations in CAMANAVA Ecclesiastical District took part in an activity dubbed “Historical Awareness Drive.”

It was aimed at making the Church officers more knowledgeable of their respective local congregation’s history. Also, sought to set the local congregation chroniclers’ records straight, which was in line with the project Paigtingin ang Pagsinop sa mga Tala ng Kasaysayan (Intensify the Church History Recordkeeping) launched by the Iglesia Ni Cristo Research and Information Section in September.

The activity was held at several houses of worship on different dates. First was that of the Naval Congregation on October 17, 2025. It was followed by that held at North Diversion Congregation (Oct. 21), Kalandang (Oct. 24), Balintawak (Oct. 25), Sta. Quiteria (Oct. 27), Kawal (Nov. 1), Sampaguita (Nov. 3) and Panghulo (Nov. 8).

As instructed by the district supervising minister Brother Bedan L. Ubaldo, district chronicler Brother Lucky Alcantara reminded the Church officers concerned on the importance of keeping track of their local congregations’ history from its humble beginnings to its recent activities, especially the milestones, particularly ensuring the correctness of details and information.

Being knowledgeable or aware of the history of the local congregation they belong to, Church officers will not only keep inspired and edified, having known how God upheld the pioneers as they remained steadfast in the faith,” remarked the Naval Congregation resident minister Rolando Garcia Jr. “Also, they can learn a lot from the congregation’s previous successes so that nowadays they can likewise do so, thereby sustaining the congregation’s progress through the years.”

“What all the more motivated me to fulfill my duty is the fact that history proves how God has been with His chosen servants, giving them success in every step of the way,” the said congregation’s chronicler, Elma Dionela, expressed. “I’m so grateful for attending this activity. It paved the way for more Church officers in our local congregation to be encouraged in likewise holding this duty that I have.”
