Brought by the continuously growing membership in Barangay Kalawit, Zamboanga Del Norte, the Church Administration approved the construction of a 110-seater house of worship of the Local Congregation of Kalawit, Ecclesiastical District of Zamboanga Sibugay. It was dedicated to God through a special gathering on November 7, 2025, led by Brother Eraño Fabella, district supervising minister officiated at the momentous gathering.

“In this gathering, the brethren were reminded how blessed they are for having a house of worship. Here, they can worship God and say their devotional prayers,” Brother Fabella said in an interview.

Located approximately 21.9 kilometers from the district office, the said edifice was built on the same lot where the congregation used to conduct worship services. It is equipped with LED TVs, a generator set, and an organ. Also constructed were a pastoral house, and office spaces.

“It is truly inspiring to witness our congregation have a new house of worship. Through this, as parents, we can show and remind our children how God works for His nation in these last days,” said Darel Generato, a deacon. “We are committed to taking care of this house of worship and to continuously teaching our children to do the same, faithfully fulfilling their duties to bring honor and glory to the Lord God,” added his wife, Sheen Generato, a deaconess.

“I thank the Lord God for answering our prayers and blessing the congregation with a new and fitting house of worship. I pledge to God and to the Lord Jesus Christ that I will lead the brethren in taking good care of this house of worship and continue doing what pleases Them,” said Reynaldo Baylon, a head deacon.

“I am truly grateful to the Lord God for blessing our local congregation, through the instrumentality of our beloved Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, with a new house of worship. On behalf of the brethren, we promise to take good care of it and remain dedicated in fulfilling our duties,” said Brother Jearson Regala, resident ministerial worker.
