“This occasion is intended to inspire the brethren to all the more help in the work of propagation, as well as the doctrinal instructees and prospective member to continue joining the Church.”

This was what Brother Daven Domine, Light of Salvation (LOS) overseer of the Ecclesiastical District of Texas, said regarding the special gathering in their district on November 9, 2025. It was attended by LOS officers, along with other Church officers, and those in the process of joining the Church Of Christ and the brethren instrumental in introducing the Church to them.

Brother Teodorico S. Samson Jr., assistant district supervising minister, officiated at the holy occasion at the San Antonio Congregation house of worship. It was livestreamed to all places of worship across the district. During his homily, he reiterated to those in the process of joining the Church Of Christ that they did not make a mistake in joining the Church, because it is obedience to the words of God and will lead to their salvation.

“In this Church, everything is read from the Bible, so I am convinced that what is taught here is the truth,” said Merlin Leyco, a prospective member from the Local Congregation of Edinburg. She added, “I’ve wholeheartedly decided to continue so that I can be baptized into the true Church.”

Brother Samson also encouraged the brethren to continue participating in the work of propagating God’s words, such as the regularly held Bible missions every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and the upcoming district-wide online evangelical mission throughout the whole day of November 25, 2025.

“Being an LOS officer is important because we are the ones who are primarily expected in overseeing those who are in the process of joining the Church. We are also the ones leading the brethren in sharing the true faith with our fellowmen,” said Chris Ataiza, head deacon and LOS overseer of Houston Congregation.

Currently, the Ecclesiastical District of Texas is supervised by Brother Noel C. Caritativo.
