Following approval from the Church Administration, the leadership of the Central Ecclesiastical District formally inaugurated the Abatex Extension of the the Tagumpay 1 Congregation through a worship service held on November 26, 2025.
District supervising minister Brother Diosdado F. Dades officiated at the inaugural worship service held in the new extension’s place of worship service. The property, lent by husband and wife, Arnulfo and Mary Ann Perez, out of faith and their generosity for the Church, is located at Hilltop Abatex, San Jose, Rodriguez, Rizal, about two kilometers from the Tagumpay 1 Congregation’s house of worship—hence, the extension’s name.
In his Bible-based homily, Brother Dades reminded the new extension’s members and officers, along with the other worshipers, that as Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members they must always prepare for the day of salvation. He exhorted them, thus, to be, obedient, dutiful, and prayerful to the Lord God, completely trusting in what He can do for them as His people, especially in times of trouble and sorrow.
“This edifice served as a venue of propagational activities before,” recounted head deacon Arnel Belangel. “Because of the eagerness of the brethren in sharing the faith, more people from this area joined the Church, and such rapid increase in membership prompted the local leadership to request for the Church Administration’s approval on the use of the same property as an extension,” he detailed.
“We are truly grateful for the Church Administration approved this part of our property to be used as a place of worship,” Arnulfo Perez, a group overseer, said. His wife, Mary Ann, an assistant group overseer, added, “We are hopeful that through the establishment of this extension, more people will also be interested in knowing more about this Church and the biblical teachings it upholds.”
“I’m thankful to the Lord God for granting our prayers that an extension be established in this place. It truly helped me and many of the brethren here,” shared deaconess Leonisa Magluyan. Meanwhile, deacon Joel Lenihan added, “From the usual two-kilometer walk we had to do before, we now only have to walk short distances in order to reach the place of worship.”
“The brethren were thankful to God for a place of worship was opened near their homes, thus, further inspiring them to be zealous in fulfilling their duties,” stated Tagumpay 1 Congregation resident minister Brother Carlos Mercado. “We are also thankful to our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo Manalo, for always taking care of our spiritual welfare.” – With reports from Gielvin Sierra, Eralyn Pabilona, Joy Mondejar, and Camille Carlos
