INC Unity Games strengthens brotherly love in Spain

Friendly competition and camaraderie among brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Spain were evident during their much-anticipated INC Unity Games held at Salesianos Estrecho Colegio San Juan Bautista grounds, Calle de Pamplona, 12, Tetuán, 28039 Madrid, Spain, on December 8, 2025.

The clusters of local congregations and group worship services (GWS) formed respective teams in various assigned colors: White (Barcelona, Andorra GWS, Valencia GWS, and Lisbon, Portugal GWS); Maroon (Bilbao, Las Palmas, and Tenerife GWS); Violet (Ibiza); Orange (Madrid and Sevilla GWS); Black (Madrid Sur); Green (Madrid Norte and Benidorm GWS); Blue (Mallorca); and Red (Marbella, Fuengirola, San Pedro, and Gibraltar GWS).

The event commenced with a parade of colors, followed by the oath of sportsmanship administered by district multimedia adviser Brother Christian Tantay. After the opening prayer said by district Christian Brotherhood International adviser Brother Christopher Tabenan, district Christian Family Organizations overseer Brother Ezekiel Silva delivered the opening remarks.

Winners received medals and trophies from the district leadership. The awarding ceremony was spearheaded by district supervising minister Brother Froilan Enriquez Jr. Then, assistant district supervising minister Brother Gilbert Aniciete gave the closing remarks, followed by the closing prayer led by district treasurer Brother Ben Mark Enriquez.

The teams who won the championship in each sport were the following:

“Our team feel joyful, for we have played with our fellow brethren from other local congregations. We are thankful to the Lord God, for He has helped us to win,” Barcelona Congregation choir member and volleyball player Marc Gerard Macadangdang said on behalf of his champion team.

“We thank Brother Eduardo V. Manalo and Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo for supporting this activity,” said Barcelona Congregation Children’s Worship Service teacher and volleyball player Monica Tantay, whose team also won the championship. “Through this kind of activity, we’re able to nurture that love of brotherhood, which all the more strengthened our faith as members of the Church Of Christ.” — With reports from Noemi Jimenez
