“The house of worship is impressive. It represents very well the unity that the Church Of Christ exercise,” commented Ilagan City architect Isagani Magauay on the newly-built house of worship of the Local Congregation of Ilagan City, Ecclesiastical District of Isabela East, in the Philippines. It was dedicated to God on December 14, 2025.
The 708-seater house of worship is located along Quirino Avenue, Barangay Calamagui 2nd, Ilagan City, the same lot where the former worship building once stood.
The preaching of God’s words was led by INC General Secretary Brother Rene J. Panoncillo who was sent by the Church Administration to officiate the holy gathering.
Brother Panoncillo emphasized the importance of the house of worship for the chosen ones. It is a holy place dedicated for the sole purpose of worshiping the Lord God. It is also a venue for the faithful to conduct their devotional prayers in times of their dire needs.
“As a member of the true Church, the house of worship is a very special place for me. During times that I’m filled with joy, I go here to thank God for helping me succeed. In times that I’m burdened with life’s sorrows, I also find solace in this place as I pray to Him,” said Shayne Zara, a choir member.
The officiating minister also exhorted the brethren to highly esteem the house of worship. Being where God’s glory dwells, they ought to care for and maintain its grandeur. The chosen must also revere God through their way of life, that is, by living in holiness.
“This gathering made me so joyous for the Lord God has heard our prayers and gave us, through the Church Administration, a magnificent house of worship where we can continue serving Him. I promise to lead my brethren in loving and caring for this place. I will strive to be fully united in all the works of the Church no matter what I face in life,” said head deacon Ricky Laggui. His residence was refitted and served as the temporary place of worship for brethren in Ilagan while their house of worship was under construction.
