Various local congregations in Metro Manila, Cavite, Bataan, and Pampanga, all in Luzon, Philippines hosted the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) Family Fun Day on December 6, 7, and 8, 2025, respectively.
District and local CFO officers, particularly that of the Buklod, KADIWA, Binhi, and the Children’s Worship Service (CWS), organized a lively lineup of programs designed to spark joy and togetherness, such as interactive booths and playground games for the entire family. Talented brethren also showcased their song-and-dance numbers. And to get the most out of the outdoor setting vibe, they had picnics.
But more than mere entertainment, the day’s events gave everyone in attendance an opportune time to strengthen bonds with respective family members and with other families, thereby promoting love of brotherhood, among other Christian values taught by the Church Administration.
Pampanga, Bataan
First in line holding the said activity on December 6 and 7 were the local congregations in the ecclesiastical districts of Pampanga North and Bataan South.
The said local congregations were Clarkview, EGM Avenue, Friendship, Maimpis, Pulung Cacutud, Sepung Bulaon, and Staging Area, among others, in Pampanga; the local congregations of Abucay and Sabatan (December 6), Alas-asin, Bagac, Mariveles, and St. Francis (December 7), in Bataan.
Other local congregations in Bataan held theirs on December 8, such as Limay and Camacho Congregations.
Led by their respective resident ministers and ministerial workers, hundreds of brethren with their family members gathered either at public parks or covered courts near their houses of worship.
“Everyone’s so happy,” observed CWS president Abby Rieñelle Eleco of St. Francis Congregation. “As a CWS officer, it’s heartening to see the CWS choir perform, to see them becoming more engaged in Church activities like this.”
“The brethren were so eager for this event that they had prepared for it well in advance. Participating in and enjoying various games, they’re all smiles,” attested resident minister Brother Marden Gomez of Staging Area Congregation, Pampanga North.
Central, Quezon City, Cavite
All on December 7, various local congregations in the ecclesiastical districts of Central, Quezon City, and Cavite had their take of the fun-filled day.
Led by resident minister Brother Ludwig Uy, the Local Congregation of Pasong Tamo, Central, gathered over a hundred brethren at NIA Covered Court, Napocor Village, Loboc Street, Quezon City. “This activity is a way to enhance the love among family members,” said Buklod member Albin de Cena.
In Quezon City, nearby elementary school grounds of the Bagong Silangan Congregation’s namesake served as the venue wherein more than a hundred brethren gathered for a day of fun. Guided by resident minister Brother Ahmid Melendres, “this day has been beneficial for the whole family to have quality time together,” said CWS teacher Gicar Lojero.
For the Local Congregations of Imus and Tramo, in Cavite, their activities were held at General Emilio Aguinaldo National High School covered court and Costa Verde Subdivision Clubhouse. “We prepared tug‑of‑war, karaoke challenges, e‑sports, and traditional Filipino games,” shared CWS president Adriel Valdez of Tramo Congregation. From the same congregation, choir member Althea Castro expressed, “To attend this activity with my family has truly made me happy.”
Caloocan North
For hundreds of brethren from local congregations across the Ecclesiastical District of Caloocan North, they chose to hold their CFO Family Fun Day district-wide, that is, they convened at the Caloocan Sports Complex, a 3,000-seater indoor sporting arena in Barangay Bagumbong, on December 7.
“This activity is meant to uplift our households, that we may remain in our zeal and unity, such as in holding CFO activities,” said district supervising minister Brother Ariel Barzaga in his opening remarks.
Each local congregation set up interactive booths that buzzed with activity, while stages came alive with heartfelt singing, stirring poetry recitals, and energetic dance performances. The result was a splendid showcase of talent and community spirit evident throughout the event.
Marikina
The Local Congregation of Rodriguez, Ecclesiastical District of Marikina gathered over a hundred brethren at Felicidad Village Covered Court in Burgos Rodriguez, Rizal on December 8. Resident minister Brother Jerson Saludario led the activity.
“From parents to children, everyone is happy to join in the games. Indeed, this fun day has uplifted every member of a Christian family,” said CWS teacher Edmund Orpilla Jr. — With reports from Districts’ Multimedia
