Prospective members from the Ecclesiastical District of Edmonton, Canada, received the holy baptism, then attended a “Welcome, My Brethren” activity, respectively held at the Eastwood house of worship and the Northmount Community Centre in Edmonton on January 11, 2026.
During the baptismal gathering, district supervising minister Brother Rolando E. Gaviola taught the would-be members about the importance of receiving baptism inside the true Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) to be certain of salvation on Judgment Day. After the study of God’s words, assistant district supervising minister Brother Felmar Serreno administered the candidates’ taking oath of membership before proceeding to the baptismal pool for their actual immersion led by ministers of the gospel Brothers John Joseph De Jesus and Jason Bodnarczuk.
Among the brethren instrumental in the new members’ conversion was Alma Dimayuga from Sherwook Park Congregation, who shared, “God is good. He is the one Who calls people into His fold. I’m glad that He willed my father to join the Church. To God be all the praises.”
“I’m truly blessed to become a member of the Church Of Christ,” said newly baptized Alberto Dimayuga. “I and my daughter will encourage more of our family members to enter the Church.”
Right after the baptism, all in attendance, led by Brothers Gaviola and Serreno, had an almost 10-minute-ride going to the venue of their next event, the “Welcome, My Brethren” activity. After a prayer by district Light Of Salvation overseer Brother Pol Manicdo, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer Brother Brian Justin Tacneng introduced the newly baptized brethren to the CFO they respectively belong.
On their part, the CFO officers warmly welcomed and congratulated their brethren, even handing out souvenirs and dedicating to them musical performances featuring INC original music. — With assistance from District Multimedia
