Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the local congregations of Yongkang and Annan in the Ecclesiastical District of Taiwan South enjoyed doing together a sport and health awareness event at Huandong Road, Xinshi District, Tainan City, Taiwan on January 25, 2026.
“We’re so glad to see each other,” said district KADIWA president Arnel Berlin. “Also, we raise awareness about the value of keeping our bodies healthy.”
Featuring two and five-kilometer challenges, the fun run was the brethren’s way, among others, “to heed the Church Administration’s call to strengthen unity and brotherhood among us members,” shared Gio Sison, Yongkang Congregation KADIWA president.
Dexter De Guzman of the Annan Congregation triumphed at the two-kilometer, with Yongkang Congregation member Emerson Barcena as the runner-up. Erwin Ordillo, followed by Sam Peren, both from Yongkang Congregation, topped the five-kilometer run.
“We’re so grateful to the Church Administration for activities, like this, that are for our physical and spiritual welfare,” expressed Yongkang Buklod president John Anthony Ortiz. “I’ll further strive to be of assistance to my brethren, especially in our active service to God, to be pleasing to Him.” — With assistance from Taiwan South District Multimedia
