The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the province of Cavite, Philippines, welcomed 138 new members through baptism held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Noveleta on January 24, 2026.
Cavite Ecclesiastical District assistant district supervising minister Brother Larry Failano officiated at the baptismal gathering. In his Bible-based homily, he urged the baptismal candidates to be fully devoted to attending the worship service as it is God’s command but also it is during which He pours out His spiritual blessings. “Even in times of hardship, true Church members remain steadfast in obeying God,” Brother Failano explained.
Following the study of God’s words, the baptismal candidates took their oath of membership. Afterwards, ministers of the gospel administered their baptism at the designated baptismal pools.
Among those baptized was Hernilyn Bagaan from the Local Congregation of Habay. Her older siblings, Rodjun and Bench, were instrumental in her conversion to the true Christian faith. Hernilyn shared, “Now that I’m a full-fledged member of the Church Of Christ, I’m excited to hold duties in the Church like them.”
“I feel so peaceful,” shared another newly baptized, John Ryu Pascual from the Local Congregation of Bacoor. “I firmly believe that through the holy baptism, God has truly cleansed me of all my sins.”
Right after the baptismal gathering was the “Welcome, Kapatid Ko” activity likewise held inside the house of worship. It commenced with District Light of Salvation overseer Brother Ryan Viana leading a prayer, then the opening remarks. Then, the district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers congratulated their newly baptized brethren and introduced them to the CFO that they respectively belong.
In both activities, the Church members who were instrumental in the conversion of their newly baptized brethren were also in attendance. Brother Viana shared the reason behind their collective zeal of sharing their faith to more nonmembers: “It is the will of God Who so desires all people to come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved.” — With assistance from Rose Ann Ramallosa
