The first Buklod Monthly Meet-up for 2026 in the Ecclesiastical District of Caloocan North was held on February 1 at the Ejercito Estrada Sports Complex in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City. Its theme was timely, being how one can start a business venture properly and maintain it profitable.

District supervising minister Brother Ariel B. Barzaga led the activity. During his opening remarks, he reminded the brethren in attendance on the importance of the activities launched by the Christian Family Organizations (CFO), one of which is the Buklod.

Attendees first interacted with booths exhibiting various businesses of brethren within the district. During the seminars that ensued, district Buklod president Marlon Mercado, who himself is a business owner, discussed tips for would-be and current business owners.

In an interview afterwards, Mercado said, “Aside from inspiring and guiding brethren who wants to start their own business, we hoped to reach out to current business owners, emphasizing to them how they can maintain a steady growth. But above all, trusting in God the success of such ventures should be the priority of anyone aspiring a stable future.”

“I truly believe that the Lord God is the source of every success that I have and will receive in my business aspirations. I also learned a lot from the seminars. I was able to bond with my fellow brethren. Truly worthwhile,” said Jolyluz Cariño from the Local Congregation of Mt. Heights. — With assistance from Alyssa Matarlo
