To provide additional support and care for the brethren from Carcar City and adjoining towns in Cebu Province, especially those who were affected by the recent calamities, the Pastoral Counseling Center (PCC) of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) held a counseling seminar for their further edification.
It was held at the house of worship compounds of the Langub and the Balamban Congregations in Carcar City, Cebu Ecclesiastical District on January 31 and February 1, 2026, respectively.
This was a follow-up seminar in which the ministers from the PCC imparted to the Buklod members appropriate coping strategies during their group counseling and to KADIWA, Binhi, and the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) by means of various interactive games, coloring materials and books.
In both venues, Brother Elson Sarmiento, a minister of the gospel with the PCC, delivered first a lecture based on God’s teaching written in the Holy Scriptures. He pointed out that members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo experience trials and difficulties in life but they could and should fully trust in what the Almighty God can do for them as He promised to give His faithful servants’ needs.
“I thank so much our dear Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V. Manalo for supporting activities in the Church like this. It has helped me prepare myself as well as my family on what to do, especially in times of desolation,” said Buklod member Mary Rivera from Langub Congregation.
“Our hope has become stronger as we participate in the activities and most especially, when we received the holy counsel from the Lord God. It truly reduced the stress we felt,” said Balamban Congregation KADIWA president Merry Joy Pacaña on behalf of fellow youth members.
