The Southville Local Congregation commemorated its 25th anniversary, which fell on January 29, 2026, via a concert on February 1 at the Multipurpose Hall of Biñan City Senior High School West Campus in Biñan City, Laguna, Philippines.
The celebration featured INC original music and brief storytelling that traced the Southville Congregation’s growth from its humble beginnings as a Children’s Worship Service (CWS) place of worship and an area. The presentation also highlighted its establishment as an extension of the Carmona Congregation and its eventual recognition as a full-fledged local congregation in the Ecclesiastical District of Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
Organized by the congregation’s Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers, the program began with an opening prayer led by Brother Jaypee B. Salcedo, a resident ministerial worker, followed by the opening remarks delivered by Brother Samuel C. Catabay, one of the head deacons.
Musical performances opened with the rendition of the song Bayan Mo’y Nagpupuri (“Your nation praises [You]”) by the choir members, offering praise and thanksgiving to God for His guidance throughout the years. This was followed by Ang Sugo ng Diyos sa Mga Huling Araw (“God’s Messenger in the Last Day”) which reflected the faith and perseverance of the early brethren.
The youth members of the congregation then took the stage with their performances of Ama, Kami Ay Sa Iyo Pa Rin (“Father, we are Yours still”) and Nananalig (“Firmly believing”), highlighting the strength, faith, and promise of the next generation.
To honor the dedication and faithfulness of the members and officers who have been part of the congregation’s journey, the song Bayani ng Pananampalataya (“Heroes of the faith”) was performed by the guest group Far East District Band, champions of Band Together Southern Luzon and finalists in Band Together International 2024.
In between performances, video greetings from ministers and ministerial workers formerly assigned at the congregation were shown, expressing gratitude and sharing memories from their years with the congregation and encouraging the brethren to keep their faith and dedication to serving God.
The celebration concluded with a closing message delivered by Brother Loreto F. Fabregas, head deacon, followed by a closing prayer led by the resident ministerial worker, Brother Danilo A. Ocate.
In an interview, Brother Jose P. Tolarba Jr., resident minister, expressed his gratitude to the brethren who participated in and celebrated the event. Above all, he thanked God “for the blessings that the congregation continues to receive.”
