Masbate District commemorates SCAN, CMDPS anniversaries

“I’m eager to attend this special gathering because of the spiritual blessings I receive that I will use in fulfilling my duty,” shared SCAN member Melrose Abella from the Local Congregation of EGM. “Even with the inclement weather, I strove to attend, firmly believing that the strength coming from the Father will help me to overcome any calamity.”

District supervising minister Brother Renato Estrada Sr. officiated at the sacred occasion. He emphasized through a biblical lesson that the sacrifices of the Church officers, including SCAN and CMDPS members, please God and so He promises to never forget them in their time of need. He reserves to them blessings as they faithfully fulfill their obligations to Him.

“For me, activities, like the special gathering, are helpful not only because these give me time to meet and catch up with fellow CMDPS and SCAN members, but most especially because of the teachings from the Bible that we hear,” attested CMDPS officer and dentist Cirlon Lopera from the Local Congregation of Aroroy. “These lessons inspire us even more to persevere in fulfilling our duties.”

Expressing the collective promise of the attendees, district SCAN president Edmundo Arboleda said that “we will continue to fulfill our duties to God come what may in our lives and will uphold our unity with the Church Administration.”

SCAN is an organization within the Church that promotes proper use of amateur radio communication, among others, to help in emergency communication and disaster response for people’s safety, while the CMDPS was founded to organize brethren who are health professionals. — With assistance from Raenier Moral
