As early as 9 a.m. on a Saturday, February 7, 2026, hundreds of Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from various local congregations across the Ecclesiastical District of Cagayan South, in the Philippines, gathered at SM City Tuguegarao Event Center for a blood donation activity.

More than 350 brethren volunteered. All of them first underwent health screenings to check if they are qualified to donate. Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) officers of the district and the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) staff concerted efforts in facilitating such procedure and the actual blood donation that followed.

A total of 112 bags of blood were collected. The CVMC that helped organize the activity was also the recipient of the day’s event.

District supervising minister Brother Cesar Cruz oversaw this activity. “Supported by our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, this is an important endeavor of the Church. For, through this, we are able to fulfill God’s command to help and alleviate the plight of those in need.”

Meanwhile, brethren from the Local Congregations of Cadaanan and Tagga both held clean-up drives as their INC Giving projects on February 1.

Led by their resident ministerial workers, they respectively cleaned up the vicinity of the Cadaanan Integrated School and Tagga Elementary School. They were able to collect sacks containing dried leaves, wild grass, among other kinds of litter.

Aside from bearing in mind the safety of the students during their classes, the parents, who brought along their children, also saw the activity as a way to teach their children the importance of maintaining cleanliness and the spirit of volunteerism. — With research assistance from Aileen Joy Barrera
