“We are truly grateful to God that He allowed this extension to be established,” said deacon Luis Nicolas Jr. from the Local Congregation of UP 1, Ecclesiastical District of Makati, in the Philippines.
With approval from the Church Administration, the said congregation recently established the Western Bicutan Extension. Held on February 25, 2026, its inaugural worship service was officiated by Church Officers Overseer Brother Romer D. Galang.
In his Bible-based homily, Brother Galang reminded the brethren to remain firm in their faith and continue obeying all the commandments of God, primarily to worship Him, to be worthy of receiving His promised salvation. He also encouraged them to stay actively participating in the Church activities launched by the Church Administration.
“The establishment of this extension is a great help to us, especially those who live nearby. More importantly, this will further strengthen our spiritual fervor and unity,” said deaconess Dolores Nicolas, Luis’s wife. Their family volunteered a part of their property to be used as the extension’s house of worship.
Brother Gem Ian C. Jayme, resident ministerial worker, shared that the brethren eagerly anticipated the opening of the extension. “When the Church Administration approved the establishment of this place of worship, the brethren were overjoyed. This is another manifestation of God’s love and the care of the Church Administration for the spiritual welfare of the brethren,” he said.
On behalf of the brethren, he added, “We thank our beloved Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for his constant guidance and concern for the Church.”
The house of worship of the extension is located along Manggahan Street, Brgy. Western Bicutan, Taguig, Metro Manila, about two kilometers from that of UP 1. — With assistance from District Multimedia
