Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) members from all the 21 local congregations and two group worship services in the Ecclesiastical District of Hawaii-Pacific commemorated their organization’s 37th anniversary by attending a special gathering dedicated to them on February 15, 2026.

District supervising minister Brother Gem H. Baitan officiated the occasion from the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Wahiawa. It was streamed live as SCAN members gathered at their respective congregations’ house of worship.

In his Bible-based homily, Brother Baitan highlighted the positive impact SCAN members’ courageously fulfilling their responsibilities for the Church and the conduct of its works, among others. Being their way of faithfully serving God in unity with the Church Administration, most significantly, it all the more strengthens their hope for salvation, the district minister assured them.

“I love my duty,” enthused Henry Marquez from Ewa Beach Congregation in an interview after the gathering. Regarding the sacrifices that entail with his duty, he added, “We in the SCAN truly need the guidance of our Lord God to help us.”

Also in attendance with the SCAN members were their respective resident ministers and ministerial workers.

Ewa Beach Congregation resident minister Brother McDaniel Martinez attested of the SCAN members’ selfless efforts every time they and their brethren gather for worship: “They come early to the worship service, and stay later after it. Their sacrifices are not gone to waste, but recognized, such as what our district minister said through this special gathering. It has been a great help in strengthening the faith of all SCAN officers.”
