The Ecclesiastical District of Cavite, in the Philippines, held a baptism on February 21, 2026. Afterwards, the 103 newly-baptized brethren were warmly welcomed by the brethren through a ‘Welcome My Brethren’ activity right after. Both of these events were held at the house of worship compound of the Local Congregation of Noveleta.
District supervising minister Brother Eli C. Hebrew led the study of God’s words written in the Bible. In his sermon, he taught the candidates for baptism to hold firmly to their election by obeying the words of God no matter what happens, so that they will be worthy of receiving salvation on Judgment Day.
After the homily, district edification overseer Brother Romeo Alcantara led the would-be members in taking their oath of membership before they were immersed in water for the baptism proper.
Newly baptized Rizza Palapar from the Local Congregation of Zapote said, “I am thankful to God for calling me into the Church. It has not been easy for me, but by God’s grace and mercy, He has allowed me to become part of His fold.”
Led by district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers, the ‘Welcome My Brethren’ activity served as a way to invite the newly baptized to take part in the upcoming activities both in the district and local level.
“My heart is filled with gladness, not only because God has heard my prayers to become a full-pledge member of the Church, but also because of the sincere reception of the brethren,” enthused newly baptized Shanelle Barbie Buizon from the Local Congregation of San Nicolas. “I will remain in the Church until the end so that I may attain the promised eternal life.” — With reports from Rose Ann Ramallosa
