Commemorating its seventh anniversary on February 8, 2026, the Ecclesiastical District of Los Angeles County in California, USA held a series of activities throughout February.

Prelude

Prior to their district’s anniversary date, the brethren gathered on the night of February 1 at their respective houses of worship. All houses of worship in the district were simultaneously illuminated in green, white, and red. The said lighting display ran each night until February 28.

Special gathering

On February 7, a special gathering of Church officers was held at the Los Angeles Congregation’s house of worship with Brother Artemio T. Pilon Jr. officiating. During the study of God’s words, he encouraged the Church officers to remain united with the Church Administration in tirelessly caring for the brethren.

After the gathering, the attendees proceeded to the chapel compound for the unveiling of the district marker. Brother Pilon, together with fellow ministers and ministerial workers, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Following this, assistant district supervising minister Brother Ferdinand De Dios read the brief history of the district, highlighting its various achievements and milestone events.

“All who were in attendance were overjoyed because we had long anticipated the installation of this marker, which makes us even more proud to be members of the Church in this part of the world,” observed Brother Pierre Cardin Perez, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer. “Many brethren gathered together, recalling the past years of our unity and working side by side. We are always reminded that no matter what happens, we will continue to serve God so that we may attain salvation.”

Evangelical missions

On February 15, simultaneous evangelical missions were held in several local congregation, including Eagle Rock, Lancaster, Los Angeles, North Hollywood, Oxnard, and Pasadena. Neighboring congregations joined the gatherings at the various chapel sites.

Brother Jared Paskewic, district Church Officers overseer, officiated at the house of worship of the North Hollywood Congregation, while Brother Jairus Monte, district Light of Salvation overseer, officiated at that of the Los Angeles Congregation. The evangelical missions of four other local congregations were led by their respective resident ministers.

These propagational activities were also part of a district project called “LAC for Unity,” which stands for “Let’s Answer the Call for Unity,” an initiative encouraging every household to bear fruits.

Baptism

The month-long activities concluded with a baptism held at the Los Angeles Congregation’s house of worship on February 28. Brother Pilon officiated at the baptismal gathering. During the homily, he inspired the baptismal candidates to remain steadfast and to always uphold the intensive renewal of life.

“The success of the series of activities held for the district’s anniversary is to give greater glory to the Lord God,” expressed Brother Andrew Macadangdang, resident minister of the San Fernando Valley Congregation.

District assistant secretary Brother Kim Johndel Gamab added, “The brethren were edified and strengthened, knowing that the district is progressing and thriving even amid challenges along the way. Since we are doing God’s work, He has always been with us and will continue to be with us.” — With reports from Andy Canlas
