The Local Congregation of Taguan in the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon West, in the Philippines, commemorated its 90th year of establishment recently.

Its members observed this momentous occasion through a special worship service to offer thanks and praises to the Lord God for His abundant blessings for nine decades on March 21, 2026.

They followed this up the next day with their edition of the INC Unity Games, not for physical stamina, but more significantly to strengthen their bond as Christian brothers and sisters in Christ.

Special worship service

Quezon West District supervising minister Brother Christopher T. Angeles officiated at the sacred gathering. Using the Bible, he reminded the congregants the qualities that they must have as Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members such as holiness and obedience to God’s will.

“This holy gathering is truly a defining moment for us that we are always cared for by God through the Church Administration,” enthused head deacon Renato Artificio. On behalf of the congregation, he added, “We will continue to strive to live in holiness as God’s elect, especially as He add more years to our lives and our congregation.”

Church members from Taguan continued the commemoration of their congregation’s anniversary through a Unity Games at the Quezon Premier Hotel covered court on March 22.

While observing sportsmanship and brotherly love, the brethren showed their competitive side through friendly competitions in sports such as basketball, volleyball, and chess.

“This brought me so much joy,” expressed basketball player Dennis Artificio. “Not only I got to play the sports that I love, but I was able to do so with my fellow brothers in the faith,” he also shared.

Local Christian Family Organizations officer Marjorie Llaneras said that the sporting activity’s purpose “strengthened camaraderie and made our anniversary celebration a memorable one, thus, achieving its purpose.”

Resident ministerial worker Brother Alexander R. Adao promised to the Church Administration: “Through your guidance, the brethren under my care will always be spiritually cared for. We’ll always unite with all Church activities and projects no matter what to keep us hopeful of salvation.”
