“It is never wrong to be diligent in this life. But there is much more than making ends meet, the topmost priority all of mankind ought to focus on,” said resident ministerial worker Brother Jhon Peterson Pineda in an interview after the evangelical mission he officiated on January 16, 2026. It was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Balanga, Ecclesiastical District of Bataan South, in the Philippines.
Brother Pineda was referring to man’s reason for being according to the Bible, that is, to know and serve God all the days of his life. He also clarified that serving God is obeying His will, one of which is being found in the true religion wherein conducted is the worship acceptable by God. Doing so, one can expect that he truly live up to his purpose, and thus worthy of God’s temporal and eternal blessings.
Brethren from all eight areas of the said congregation did their best in informing and inviting their friends and neighbors days prior to and on the very day of the evangelical mission. “With brethren entrusted to my care, we went house-to-house handing out copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine,” said deaconess and Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) officer Melissa Dilig. “As a Church officer, it’s my duty to share my faith so that others will … know the biblical teachings upheld in the Church Of Christ [and the way] to receive God’s promise of salvation,” she added.
“Out of love for my fellowmen and faith in God, I strove to still invite nonmembers after a day’s work. This is in unity of the Church Administration in their call that members be responsive in all activities, especially in the propagation of God’s words, to always give glory to God,” shared third head deacon Felix Hidalgo.
“After all, it is God’s will that we genuinely care for our fellowmen by leading them to the true Church and eventually, salvation,” Brother Pineda confirmed.
About a hundred guests made it in attendance. One of them, Vabes Urbano, said, “Understanding the importance of the true Church Of Christ to be saved on Judgment Day is what prompted me to decide to enter this Church.” Like her, many others expressed willingness to continue on in the Bible studies.
