The Ecclesiastical District of Bataan, in the Philippines, hosted a blood donation activity to help replenish the supply of James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital. The activity was held at Morong Town Plaza in Poblacion, Morong, Bataan on December 6, 2025.

District supervising minister Brother Roderick Chulvo led the humanitarian activity. “[This is] an activity continually promoted by the Church Administration, under the leadership of Brother Eduardo V. Manalo. Brethren are thus united in providing vital help not only for the sick but also for those struck by accidents,” he shared.

Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) officers coordinated with the beneficiary hospital and facilitated the screening of the donors. Medical personnel from the said hospital extracted blood from donors who passed the screening. “For our fellowmen, we hope to be of help especially during times when they need blood [donation] that could save their lives,” explained CMDPS officer Janelle Meneses.

“Suffering from severe anemia, my mother urgently needs at least three bags of blood. By chance, my friend, who is an INC member, came earlier and told me there’s a blood donation today, saying if we could coordinate with the organizers,” narrated Jessica Nabong, a resident of Morong.  “Even though we’re not members of INC, they still helped us, and now we’re already going through the process for my mother to undergo blood transfusion,” she added.

“This is my second time donating blood,” shared choir member Willian Aldrich Barbudo from the Local Congregation of Morong. “I see blood donation as a vital part of my life being of help to others. I’m glad to extend that help even to nonmembers.”

After undergoing health screening, 83 volunteers qualified as blood donors, thus the same number of blood bags collected afterwards.

“When we learned that INC was holding a blood donation, we went here and were warmly accommodated—even though we’re not members, they immediately granted our request, easing our worries and bringing relief for my mother-in-law’s transfusion. For that we thank the Church Of Christ,” shared Kristel Llanares, Nabong’s sister-in-law. — With assistance from Annabele Penuliar
