The Ecclesiastical District of Bataan, in the Philippines, hosted a Job and Trade Fair at the Hermosa Multipurpose Covered Court, Bataan, on October 11, 2025. It gave an avenue for participants to promote their microbusinesses as well as for jobseekers to find employment.

District Christian Family Organizations officers coordinated all aspects of the fairs, such as the Buklod and Christian Employees Association (CEA) officers who organized the trade fair and job fair, respectively. District supervising minister Brother Roderick Chulvo led the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Cake business owner Laarnie Perez from the Local Congregation of Tapulao shared that she was “thrilled to have participated in this activity, which was approved by the Church Administration, because it allowed me to showcase my products; it was a joy to receive so many inquiries about custom cakes. Having new customers for the products is a significant boost for my household.”

“The brethren in our district were overjoyed to hold this event, as the CEA-led job fair extended much-needed employment opportunities not only to members but also to nonmembers who submitted their applications,” observed district CEA president Astrude Santos. “It brings us great happiness and joy to have helped those seeking work find a path to employment.” — With assistance from Annabele Penuliar
