Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) volunteers in the Ecclesiastical District of Batangas spearheaded a medical and dental mission at Barangay Sambal Ibaba, Lemery, Batangas, on October 15, 2025.
The compound of the residence of Lemery Congregation deacon Bryan Mendoza served as the venue of the said activity. There, 129 residents availed of the services offered including medical consultations and dental extractions. They were also provided free medicines and vitamins.
A four-dentist team composed of Doctors Floramae Javellosa, Ivan Valeros, Jejomar Villapando, and Jaira Liviene Esguerra performed dental extractions for patients in need. Chief medical facilitator Dr. Josan Jan Espanol conducted individual consultations in diagnosing conditions, explained causes and treatments, and prescribed necessary medication to patients.
“The activity shows how we fulfill God’s command to love our fellowmen,” shared district CMDPS vice president Nordel Arellano. “As I carry out my duty along with fellow officers, my faith strengthened by obeying God’s teaching to help others,” he added.
“This activity really helped me,” Lemery deaconess and finance officer Liza Mae Ilao joyfully expressed. “In my consultation, the doctor explained clearly the cause of what I was feeling. I understood the medication given to ease my condition. Thanks for the medicines and vitamins,” she further stated.
On behalf of the brethren, Brother Eric Lopez, resident minister, said, “We promise to support all activities launched by the Church Administration to give glory to God. We are thankful for their constant love and concern.” — With assistance from Elton Diaz
