ON THE 28TH of November 2009, the 1,000-seater house of worship of the Local Congregation of Araneta in Quezon City, Philippines, was dedicated to God through a worship service. That day was significant not only for the congregation but also for the entire Church, as it marked the first house of worship dedicated by Brother Eduardo V. Manalo after becoming the Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).
Almost 16 years later, on June 13, 2025, the memory remained vivid for the brethren of the Araneta Local Congregation, Ecclesiastical District of Central, as they were once again blessed to have been led in a worship service by Brother Eduardo Manalo. On that sacred occasion, 34 ministers were added to the Church as they received the laying on of hands from the Executive Minister.
After Brother Diosdado F. Dades, district supervising minister, led the opening prayer, Brother Eduardo Manalo delivered a timely biblical message on the importance of being watchful against people who speak of false doctrines, especially in these times when many attempt to mislead Church members and draw them away from the truth. The Executive Minister also reminded the Church officers to diligently and effectively oversee the brethren under their care.
In line with Apostle Paul’s exhortation, Brother Eduardo Manalo reminded the brethren to stay vigilant. Remaining firm in the true teachings they receive is essential—especially in times when false doctrines are being subtly spread to mislead.
As he concluded his sermon, Brother Eduardo Manalo encouraged the brethren to uphold spiritual maturity by firmly holding on to the God’s commands written in the Bible, taught by the Messenger of God, and faithfully upheld by the Church Administration, for them to be worthy of receiving salvation on Judgment Day.
Brother Romer D. Galang led the closing prayer after the Executive Minister’s sermon. Brother Bienvenido C. Santiago led the oath-taking of the ordinands. After the ordination, Brother Arnel C. Canicosa led the prayer, then, Brother Ernesto V. Suratos led the prayer for the voluntary offerings. The benediction was said by Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, the Church’s Deputy Executive Minister.
In these last days, remaining vigilant and firmly grounded in God’s teachings has become more crucial than ever. By holding fast to the true faith, obeying all of God’s commandments, and resolutely uniting with the Church Administration, members of the Church Of Christ can overcome all forms of trials and persecutions and safeguard their hope of salvation.
