“Through this effort, we are able to extend help to our fellowmen, be they our fellow brethren or not, especially in times of sickness or accidents when blood transfusion is needed. Our district facilitated this in response to the call of God through the Church Administration to care for our fellowmen,” CMDPS president of Batangas City Congregation, Nordell Arellano, said.
The blood donation activity was hosted by the Ecclesiastical District of Batangas, in the Philippines. It was held at the Walter Mart Batangas, 4th floor, P. Burgos Street, Brgy. Calicanto, Batangas City, Batangas on March 21, 2026. A total of 115 bags of blood were collected.
Organized by the district’s Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) officers, the humanitarian effort was spearheaded by the Social Services Office (SSO) led by Brother Vincent Juanite, together with the CMDPS Batangas team headed by Dr. Josan Español, a surgeon, and assisted by nurses Nordell Arellano and Robert Cuenca. It was held in coordination with the Batangas City Medical Center (BatMC) Blood Services.
Among those who facilitated the activity were nurses and medical technologists Shayne Soriao, Karlo Abordo, Nora Joco, Rosalie Abanador, Dana Sulit, Kim Gallardo, Nancy Sulit, and Mj Narvaez. District Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers Jun Parto, Jerson Tamase, Divine Parto, and Noreen Abardo likewise provided support.
“This activity is a concrete way of showing unity and fulfilling the commandment of our Lord God to love our fellowmen,” said Kim Gallardo. “Donating blood not only saves lives but also helps us maintain good health.”
“Our brethren understand that endeavors like this blood donation activity are opportunities to express our compassion for the community,” Brother Juanite explained. — With assistance from District Multimedia
