Married members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) from the Local Congregation of Bonn, Germany, Ecclesiastical District of Central Europe attended a seminar on recycling and then conducted a community clean-up drive on February 1, 2026.

Held at Bonn Congregation’s function hall, the seminar aimed to equip the brethren with “practical knowledge on environment while fostering unity in keeping it clean, thereby promoting awareness of ecological responsibility,” according to resident minister Brother Stephan Schielmann. Also, it “strengthened the brotherly bond among one another,” he added.

Buklod congregation president Jonathan Edic and fellow Buklod officer Van Flores served as resource speakers. Besides imparting to the attendees proper waste sorting, recycling practices, they also touched on the value of maintaining cleanliness in daily life so as to stay healthy and, thus, unhindered from performing one’s Church duties.

Immediately after the seminar, the brethren put to practice what they were just taught during their clean-up drive along Baumschulallee Avenue.

The seminar was “informative and beneficial,” said another Buklod officer Zhanrikzha Flores. “It has promoted unity and helped the community. It makes me feel proud and happy to serve as Church Of Christ member,” said Buklod member Omar Matthew Reyes.

“It feels fulfilling to be a good example to the community, to have a positive impact that resulted to a clean and safe environment,” said choir member Emerson Alicante.
