Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members firmly believe that Brother Felix Y. Manalo is God’s Messenger in these last days as attested to by many biblical prophecies. In commemoration of his 139th birth anniversary, they held evangelical missions on May 2, 2025. Thus, they united in bringing guests and filling to capacity their respective houses of worship that day.
Officiating ministers were ministers of the gospel sent by the Church Administration, resident ministers or resident ministerial workers, if not supervising ministers of respective districts. They highlighted in their preaching from the Bible the importance of heeding God’s will taught by His Messenger in these last days for people’s salvation on Judgment Day, that is, become active members of the true Church Of Christ.
Right after the evangelical missions, both the brethren and their guests shared their positive feedbacks, some of which were as follows:
“It truly is enlightening to know a good perspective on how to be saved since all people like myself need this,” said a guest by the name of Darin Swaim, who was invited to attend at Houston house of worship. “I always allot time to invite my friends to attend Bible studies so, hopefully, they’d know and become Church Of Christ members as well,” said choir member Russell Maranan from the same congregation.
Also a guest, Nathanyl Fuh whom Eastern Ontario District invited, shared, “My friend kept telling me about her Church and [so] I got curious. The message really spoke to me—it felt peaceful and genuine. I’m really thankful I attended.”
“It’s inspiring to know that evangelical missions here in Ontario were done in so many places at the same time,” said Marvijoy Raymond from the Local Congregation of Capital City, Ontario. “This showed how united we are and how much we care about others hearing the truth.”
“It’s very important to follow the [teachings of the] Bible, which I think is right,” shared Rome Congregation’s guest Carmelo Di Maria, Catholic, likewise observing “the difference in the orderliness of all the attendees, separate seats for male and female, they’re distant from one another.”
“We helped in inviting many people to know more about the Church Of Christ and welcomed our guests warmly during the evangelical mission,” said Italy South District Binhi president John David San Vicente. “Helping in the work of propagation is uniting with the aim of the Church Administration: to please God by obeying His commands,” said deacon Rogelio Moratalla from Rome Congregation.
Marilou Buenavidez, a guest of Barcelona Congregation in Spain District, got interested in further listening to the Church’s beliefs upon realizing that “they’d always quote from the Bible as they answer questions about rendering true worship of God.”
Aiming for the activity’s success, brethren in Southern Africa District handed out copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine. They also “conducted devotional prayers on days before the evangelical mission, and hear biblical lectures led by our resident minister. I thank God for I was able to bring my friends to listen to the Church’s teachings,” said Ladybrand, South Africa Congregation head secretary Mafusi Thulo. On his part, Tugela, South Africa Congregation TSV officer Sapho Thwala shared that he was able to bring along 14 neighbors.
“The preaching was entirely biblical. All the questions were answered using the Bible,” observed guest Abel Jose Quembo from Tugela. “I felt the Church members’ warm welcome as soon as I entered the chapel,” shared guest Amohelang Ntsasa from Ladybrand.
“I learned that faith should be solely based on the Bible and not on man’s beliefs,” said guest Mariane Johnson about what she learned during the evangelical mission at Macau house of worship.
In the Philippines, thousands of people attended. The Ecclesiastical District of Sta. Rosa City, Laguna, for example, had more than 3,000 guests; Cagayan De Oro City, Misamis Oriental District with almost 2,000 guests; and Marikina District had 1,376 guests.
Sta. Rosa Congregation head deacon Nestor Jay Pingol was able to bring 530 guests in an evangelical mission officiated at by Brother Benildo C. Santiago. “I conducted devotional prayers before talking to those whom I would invite. Making sure that all of them would attend and listen to God’s words, I assisted them in reaching the house of worship. It is my faith to help the Church Administration in propagating the true faith,” he said.
“The biblical verse about Christ’s being the door on the way to true peace and salvation, that there is indeed a Savior, has great impact at me. I also learned that to be saved, His command to be found in the true Church is necessary,” narrated Ronna Dalle Porte, a guest from Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. “When I also heard the verse about the devil having faith as well, I realized that faith alone is insufficient to be saved, which made me decide to deepen my faith by learning more about God’s words which I started hearing now,” she added.
“Coming from different schools and universities, we gathered together to share magazines and pamphlets as we invite people to attend the evangelical mission in our district,” shared Ashley Kate Pagaduan, Christian Brotherhood International (CBI) officer in Sultan Kudarat District. “Even as students, we ought to unite with the Church Administration’s aim to spread the truth,” added fellow CBI officer Lawrence Abing.
In the Ecclesiastical District of Western Australia, all its 15 local congregations and 10 group worship services strove to invite and bring along guests. “It’s very amazing and I loved hearing the word of God because what the preacher shared tonight is biblical,” said guest Emmanuel Vaoga, who is a senior pastor in a Christian sect in Melton, Australia. “I love to find more opportunities to participate [in Bible studies] and hear more about the Church,” he added.
“The brethren demonstrate their firm faith by participating in all activities, such as this sharing of the faith,” attested Southern Africa District supervising minister Brother Rico Del Rosario.
“The brethren all over our district brought guests of different races and nationalities,” said Italy South District supervising minister Brother Dyland Ramos. “Our district will continue to unite with all the Church’s works.”
“It’s our duty no matter where we are. It’s the entire Church working together to fulfill God’s will,” said Eastern Ontario District Light of Salvation (LOS) overseer Brother Randy Capisoda regarding the brethren’s collective effort in upholding the Church’s work of intensively proclaiming God’s words to all and sundry. — With research assistance from Jensen DG.
