On 24th of February 2024,  the Ecclesiastical District of Caloocan North conducted medical and dental mission at the upper-level parking of the Camarin Condominium beside the Local Congregation of Camarin’s house of worship. More than a thousand individuals benefited from the activity.

“This is in consonance with the commandment of the Lord God that whenever we have the chance, we should help our fellowmen,” said Brother Ariel B. Barzaga, district supervising minister. “Through God’s help we were able to cater free dental and medical services to our brethren and countrymen alike.”

Throughout the activity, 837 people availed medical attention; 257 were given dental services, such as consultation, and tooth extraction, among others. Free vitamins and medicine were also distributed.

Octogenarian Lolita Ciargao, deaconess in the Local Congregation of Bagong Silang 9, said, “In my age, I’m prone to diseases, and so taking care of my health is a necessity. Having this event with free services is so uplifting. I thank the Church Administration for leading such events that benefit our well-being.”

This humanitarian activity was made possible with the collaboration of the district’s Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) officers and that of the Church’s Social Services Office (SSO).

“When I took oath as a medical doctor, it resounded a promise to ever do what will benefit the well-being of every patient. I am so glad that I am able to use the profession I have, not only to benefit the needy but above all to obey God’s will,” said Dr. Arissa Gonzales from the Local Congregation of Deparo. “I will continue utilizing my skills for the benefit of many more people, especially my fellow Church members.” — With reports from Namilhyn Komatsu of INC News Section
