Members of the Local Congregation of Calumpang East, in the Ecclesiastical District of Batangas, Philippines, have another reason to thank God for: their newly built house of worship.

It was dedicated to the Lord God through a special worship service on February 27, 2026, four months prior to the congregation’s 86th anniversary in July this year.

District supervising minister Brother Pedro F. Castillo officiated at the sacred occasion. “It is God’s dwelling place where His chosen ones gather to worship Him,” he said of the house of worship during his sermon. He reassured them that as they meet God’s expectation to worship Him faithfully and thus please Him, He will provide all their needs.

The new 110-seater house of worship stands along Bauan-San Luis Road, Brgy. Calumpang East, San Luis, Batangas, some 20 kilometers from the district office.

“I’m profoundly grateful to God and to the Church Administration for this extraordinary experience of dedicating our new chapel,” choir leader Franz Patrick Obrador shared with joy. “Whatever trials may come, I will never cease in my service, for I know that God listens when I pray.”

Head deacon Redith Pagkaliwagan likewise expressed his gratitude to the Almighty God for now being able to worship Him in a new and beautiful house of worship. “I’ve been through a lot, and trials abound, but the moment I stepped inside the new chapel, it feels like every hardship was lost and replaced with overwhelming joy. I promise to lead the brethren under my care to cherish and safeguard this sacred place, for it is a gift beyond measure.”

Built adjacent to the chapel were the pastoral house, guardhouse, and local offices for secretary and finance. The house of worship is also equipped with a Technical Support for Videostreaming (TSV) room, CCTV system, and a Johannus organ.

“With this new house of worship, the brethren will further be strengthened in the faith, ever steadfast in their divine calling,” said Brother Jetro Tyson Andaya, who has been assigned as the congregation’s resident ministerial worker. — With assistance from District Multimedia
