Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Candelaria, Ecclesiastical District of Quezon West held a special gathering at their house of worship on March 13, 2026 to commemorate their congregation’s 90th anniversary, offering to God thanks and praises for nine decades of blessings.
The Church Administration sent Brother Bienvenido Dela Cruz, minister of the gospel and instructor at the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) School For Ministers, to officiate at the special gathering. In his Bible-based preaching, he encouraged the brethren to remain steadfast in the faith whatever comes in their life in order to attain salvation on Judgment Day.
Assistant supervising minister Brother Ruel Belangel and district supervising minister Brother Christopher Angeles led the congregation in prayer before and after the homily, respectively.
“The joy that I felt attending the special gathering was overwhelming. God’s message conveyed during the preaching was very clear. This sacred occasion all the more strengthened my hope and faith in God,” said one of the congregation’s pioneers, Emma Veninoso, who has been a deaconess for 40 years now.
“For 90 years, God’s help still manifests, as He continues to bestow victories in our congregation,” attested resident ministerial worker Brother Richard Bruce Ebreo. On behalf of the brethren, he added, “We will remain in our active services and participation in various activities launched by the Church Administration.” — With reports from Junel Jabrica
