Church officers in the Ecclesiastical District of Britain South receive invigoration of their faith during the Church Officers Day on August 25, 2025. Led by district supervising minister Brother Harley Alcantara, attendees converged at the University of East Anglia gymnasium, Norwich, England.
Commencing the day was the special gathering of more than 900 Church officers, during which the oath-taking of new ones was also held. Brother Alcantara delivered a Bible-based lecture emphasizing the pivotal role of officers in looking after the Church’s welfare.
In an interview afterwards, Brother Alcantara said, “Officers in the Church are inspired by the truth that the duties they have are gifts from the Lord God. This is why we can see from the officers here the dedication in fulfilling their respective obligations, knowing full well that their efforts will never be in vain—God will surely reward them.”
After the special gathering, attendees bonded through a series of fun activities. Wearing color-coded shirts representing their respective local congregations, they tested their mettle via friendly games of volleyball and basketball.
One of the attendees, district Children’s Worship Service president Yuriel Luigi Perico, said, “On my own, I’m weak. That is why, I need the help coming from God, especially as I always strive to fulfill my duties in the Church with utmost dedication. He used this event to strengthen me through His words I heard. I was also able to bond with my fellow officers which has further steeled my resolve in doing what pleases the Lord God.” — With assistance from Aleczandrei Nigel Lucero
