Church officers from all of the local congregations in the newly established Ecclesiastical District of Florida and Caribbean convened for a special gathering on January 18, 2026 during which 76 new officers took their oath of duty.

Appointed as first supervising minister of the new district was Brother Garry Garcia, who officiated at the special gathering. In his Bible-based homily, he encouraged the officers to seek God’s guidance as they unite their efforts in continuously worshiping and serving Him by devotedly performing their Church duties.

From the Local Congregation of Miami, Florida’s house of worship, the event’s main venue, the entire proceeding was streamed live to 22 houses of worship serving as remote sites.

“It’s a great opportunity and pleasure to see so many new and older officers I never knew before,” said deacon Albert Hernandez. Reflecting on the lesson, he added, “Whatever office or duty that we have in the Church, God chose us to serve in that position. Unity was also highlighted. Only when we’re together united that God’s presence is there.”

The Ecclesiastical District of Florida and Caribbean oversees 19 local congregations and 16 group worship services (GWS).
