On February 21, 2026, Church officers in the Ecclesiastical District of Texas convened in the house of worship of the Alvin Local Congregation for a special gathering, during which new Church officers were sworn into office.

Brother Noel C. Caritativo, district supervising minister, officiated at the sacred gathering. In his homily, he reiterated that being a Church officer is a blessing from God, thus, they must fulfill their respective tasks with all their might. He further emphasized from the Bible that doing so will not be in vain for God will remember their labors for the sake of the Church.

After the lecture, Brother Teodorico S. Samson Jr., assistant district supervising minister, administered the oath-taking of the newly appointed officers.

“With the present condition of the world today, many people are experiencing hardship and severe problems. Thus, the Church Administration needs more helpers as they make sure that the brethren remain firm in the faith and steadfast in their services to God,” Texas District Church officers overseer Brother Ferdinand P. Junsay said in an interview after the gathering.

“Special gatherings for the Church officers, such as this, are important because during these occasions, they are reminded the words of God and spiritually edified, so that the officers will remain inspired in doing their best in performing their duties,” Brother Junsay added.

“I feel blessed because God has entrusted me with this precious gift as a head deacon. I will strive my best to be an example to all brethren and other Church officers in obeying God’s commandments, and always be submissive to the Church Administration,” said Salvador Biazon, from the Local Congregation of Alvin.

“My true wealth are my duties inside the Church Of Christ,” said Lucila Maranan, who took oath to be a district officer in the Christian Medical Dental Paramedical Society (CMDPS). She is also a deaconess and Light of Salvation officer with the Houston Local Congregation. “In my family, we make sure we prioritize the performance of our duties, and with God’s help, everything else falls into place,” she added.

“As a Church officer, I will strive to be a role model to the brethren and a strong helper of the Church Administration by being obedient to all of God’s commands,” said Rhoda Ibañez, a newly appointed deaconess in the Austin Local Congregation.

“All ministers, ministerial workers and Church officers in the District of Texas will always be one with the Church Administration in taking care of the welfare of the brethren under our care,” Brother Caritativo said in an interview.
