Local congregations in Luzon island of the Philippines held blood donation activities on February 28, and March 7, 2026. They were conducted in Camiling, Tarlac and in Barangay Bagong Pag-Asa in Quezon City.

Paniqui, Tarlac District

The blood donation of the Ecclesiastical District of Paniqui, Tarlac was held at the Camiling Sports Complex in Camiling, Tarlac.

Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) and Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) district officers unified efforts in facilitating this activity.

A total of 109 blood bags were collected afterwards, of which Tarlac Provincial Hospital’s patients are the intended beneficiaries.

“Such humanitarian effort of the Church Of Christ is truly helpful not only to our fellowmen but also to us, donors, for it helps us to maintain a healthy body,” expressed another donor, Ferdinand Pagaduan, Dicolor Congregation SCAN president.

Mindanao Avenue Congregation

In the Ecclesiastical District of Central, a blood donation was spearheaded by brethren in the Local Congregation of Mindanao Avenue. It was held at a multipurpose hall in Barangay Bagong Pag-Asa, Quezon City.

The activity was facilitated by the New Era General Hospital (NEGH) staff together with CMDPS members. Afterwards, a total of 34 bags of blood were collected and turned over to the NEGH.

Deaconess Jonah Hindang shared she was “excited, and a bit nervous” as it was her first time donating blood. “For me, donating blood is caring not only for my own health but also for those in need,” she added.

Also a first timer, choir member Camille Rivera, who is also a Technical Support for Videostreaming (TSV) and finance officer, said, “It feels very rewarding. Physically, there are benefits for me, especially for my countrymen in need of blood. And so, I didn’t waste the opportunity to be of help to anyone in need.” — With assistance from Joy Karen Mondejar and Victoria Jamelle Tiu
