One with the entire Church in celebrating the 139th birth anniversary of Brother Felix Y. Manalo, whom Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members firmly believe is God’s messenger in these last days, the Ecclesiastical District of Mediterranean conducted evangelical missions and CFO Cares in all its local congregations and group worship services, all in May 2025.

Evangelical Missions

The Local Congregation of Athens was the first to conduct an evangelical mission with district Light of Salvation overseer Brother Gilbert Zaraga officiating on May 3. Other local congregations held theirs on May 4, 11, 18, and 25. Meanwhile, Tel-aviv Congregation held the same activity on May 17; the Local Congregations of Haifa, Jerusalem, Limassol, Malta, and Nicosia on the next day.

Assistant district supervising minister Brother Edmund Tapang officiated at the house of  worship of the Local Congregation of Malta. He and other officiating ministers and ministerial workers at the said congregations explained using the Bible the importance of entering the one true Church—the Church Of Christ—to be saved on Judgment Day.

Buklod CFO officer Shirley Azucena, from Jerusalem Congregation, said, “I’m happy to be of help in sharing the faith. After all, this is one of my duties as a Church member. I will continue to invite my friends and classmates to listen to God’s teachings,” she said.

CFO Cares

Led by the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers, the district’s CFO Cares events were held at the house of worship compounds of the Local Congregations of Nicosia and Jerusalem on May 1 and 10, respectively, and that of Haifa and Malta, both on May 11.

During the said events, medical services were provided for free. In Malta, the officers even prepared games and activities that promote teamwork and team building. In Haifa, free haircut was offered.

“Working in a hotel business needs extra physical strength. I’m thankful for the medical assistance and vitamins I’ve received. That is essential to my job especially as I fulfill my Church duties,” said Kristina Bacaltos from Jerusalem Congregation.

“Through CFO activities like this, the brethren feel that profound concern the Church Administration has for the brethren in the Church,” said Brother Tapang. — With reports from Cleofe Ariola of INC News Section
