The Church Of Christ’s work of propagating the pure gospel in the Mariana Archipelago in the Pacific Ocean has kept its vitality with the activeness of the members, in unity with their district’s leadership.

In Guam and Saipan, for instance, the brethren from several local congregations in those islands invited and brought many guests to the evangelical missions that the district minister and the assistant district minister, respectively, led on June 10, 2025.

Congregations in both islands, the latter of which belong in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), are under the supervision of the Ecclesiastical District of Micronesia.

In Guam, district supervising minister Brother Joven Sepillo Jr. officiated at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Machanao; in Saipan, CNMI, assistant district supervising minister Brother Julius Malabanan led at that of the island’s namesake.

Congregations near the main venues connected via videoconfering: Pohnpei, FSM; Koror, Palau; Yap, FSM Group Worship Service in Guam, and Tinian, CNMI; Majuro, Marshall Island; Rota, Marianas Pacific Extension in Saipan.

In the study of God’s words, Brother Sepillo debunked some common misconceptions about how salvation can be received on Judgment Day, such as the ‘faith alone’ concept. Using the Bible as the sole basis of faith, he emphasized that faith alone is not enough for people to be saved on that day. He expounded on the biblical teaching that one ought to obey Christ’s command to enter or join the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) to be saved.

Brother Malabanan, for his part, detailed how significant it is for people to be connected to Christ to be worthy of God’s promise of salvation. He likewise proved, by citing Bible verses, that that connection is solely by membership in the true Church Of Christ.

Firmly believing in this gospel of truth, the Church members in Guam and Saipan have continued to enthusiastically share their faith with others, especially their loved ones whom they brought to the said Bible study.

Charlene Faye Dinogan, an organist from Machanao Congregation, said, “Taking part in the evangelical missions are important not only because these show my unity with the Church Administration but also to share my faith and give a life-changing opportunity to my friends and loved ones on how to be worthy of salvation.”

“I will continue to listen more truth about salvation through this Church,” said a guest by the name of Walter Mendoza in an interview after the evangelical mission. He was invited by head deacon Noel Cunanan from the Local Congregation of Koblerville, MP. He even noticed that “there are no idols or images inside the chapel. That puts me at peace because I read it myself from the Bible, that God forbids the worship of graven images.”

On behalf of the brethren in the district, Brother Sepillo said, “We will continue to do the things that are pleasing to God, one of which is striving to share with more people the true faith.” — With reports from Roger Villegas Jr.
