On June 26, 2025, the first worship service of the newly established Lawak Group Worship Service (GWS), in the Ecclesiastical District of Rosales, Pangasinan, was held. It was led by the district supervising minister, Brother Rowell De Lara.
Supervised by the Local Congregation of Tayug, the GWS is a testament of the growth of the Church Of Christ in this part of Pangasinan. The GWS’s place of worship is located at Barangay Lawak, Tayug, Pangasinan.
Brethren from the said congregation and other neighboring congregations, such as that in San Quintin, also attended the worship service.
Cognizant of the brethren’s gratitude, resident ministerial worker Brother Rodel Lustre said, “Today is indeed a blessed moment for the brethren here. They anticipated what the Church Administration approved of, that is, the establishment of this GWS. I’m overjoyed to lead the brethren in this kind of active services to the Lord God.”
The lot upon which the place of worship stands was voluntarily donated by the Timbang Family. Asked his zeal being a paragon of faith to brethren in Tayug and in Lawak, 71-year-old pioneer member Flaviano Timbang of Tayug Congregation said, “I promise to lead my household in all the Church works.
