Worship of God is always a priority for members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), even with those who are based in Toufen City, Miaoli County, Taiwan, a highly urbanized area. “Through the Administration He placed in the Church, we’ve been given an opportunity to be able to worship the Father nearer our homes and workplace,” said Jimenry Miranda.

Miranda is the deacon assigned as overseer of the Zaoqiao Group Worship Service (GWS), the newest GWS in the district. Its inaugural worship service was held on March 21, 2024. Brother Roel Castillo, supervising minister of the Ecclesiastical District of Taiwan, led the holy gathering.

Zaoqiao is a rural village in Miaoli County. Brethren there used to travel for approximately ten kilometers to attend worship services.

Brother Castillo remarked during his Bible-based preaching that members of the true Church must always show utmost dedication and sincerity to worship God. They may be busy, but faithful members will always find time to worship God to secure, above anything else, their relationship with Him.

Miranda added, “Being near to the place of worship is edifying. In times of hardships, I will always be there to plead with God.”

“This holy place will serve as venue of, primarily, worship of God, and the various activities that edify the brethren and help propagate the true gospel to nonmembers,” said Brother Castillo. “On behalf of the brethren, we thank the Church Administration for always caring for the welfare of our faith. We will continue on in activeness to further our fervor in serving the Almighty Father.” — With reports from Karen Analee Abalos of INC News Section
