The much-awaited district finale of the Songs of Salvation (Himig ng Kaligtasan) in the Ecclesiastical District of Bataan, Philippines at the Orani Gymnasium, on May 4, 2025, saw eight choral groups compete: Orani, Balsik, Hermosa, Imelda, Mabayo, Palili, Roosevelt, and Sabang.

Adjudged based on stage presence, musicality, and voice quality, the choral group from Hermosa was declared the winner with their rendition of Bayan Mo’y Nagpupuri (Your Nation Praises You).

“To reach the finals is already a great honor; to win is beyond what I expected,” enthused Riza Nazareno of the winning group. “I’m truly joyful being able to unite with this activity. We won as a team, as brethren in the Church, and above all, these have been possible through God’s help. This experience has further intensified my fervor in fulfilling my duties to Him.”

“We rehearsed and above all we prayed to the Lord God. We’re so thankful to have reached the finals,” said Aldrin Dayrit on behalf of Orani choral group. “To be able to use my talent in singing songs that praise the Lord God while proclaiming the truth written in the Bible is a great privilege for me,” he added.

On the goal of the event, district supervising minister Brother Roderick Chulvo said, “Events like this are launched by the Church Administration primarily to edify the brethren through God’s words with use of music. These not only became a source of entertainment but also a way to reiterate to the attendees God’s will written in the Bible. With this, we thank our beloved Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for always caring for our faith.” — With reports from Camille Fadriquela and Annabele Penuliar of INC News Section
