The newly constructed 874-seater house of worship of the Local Congregation of Panglao, Ecclesiastical District of Bohol, in the Philippines, was dedicated to God through a special worship service held on October 5, 2025.
Brother Bienvenido C. Santiago, the General Evangelist of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), officiated at the dedication worship service.
In his Bible-based homily, Brother Santiago highlighted the importance of the house of worship especially to the spiritual life of God’s chosen people in these last days. He emphasized that it is not only where God expects them to conduct the true worship of Him but also where He promised to all the more listen to the prayers of His obedient servants.
Located six kilometers away from the Bohol-Panglao International Airport, the new house of worship was equipped with state-of-the-art sound system, CCTV cameras, and the Johannus organ, among others. Built alongside it were a pastoral house, caretaker’s house, and offices.
Having seen the progress of the house of worship’s construction, an Australian by the name of Mark Hofert remarked, “Each time I drove past, there’s always progression. There’s always something happening. Unbelievable.”
“It’s beautifully, impeccably, and strongly built,” enthused architect Nathaniel Apole, who is also a Children’s Worship Service in the Local Congregation of Ubujan, also in Bohol. “Last week, we experienced an earthquake. And yet, this house of worship didn’t sustain even a single crack.”
On behalf of the district, supervising minister Brother Raul Cervantes said, “Praises be to God for granting us, through the instrumentality of the Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, this magnificent house of worship—a proof of God’s almighty hand at work.” — With assistance from Es Jay Macalalad and Franz Daria
