Hundreds of guests, 605 in all, attended the musical evangelical mission of the Ecclesiastical District of Agusan del Norte, in the Philippines, that was held at the Butuan City Provincial Capitol Covered Gymnasium on August 3, 2025.
Commencing the event, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer Brother Alfred Yonzon led a prayer. Then, district supervising minister Brother Nicanor Bernardo Jr. gave the opening remarks. He conveyed to the guests the relevance of listening to the Iglesia Ni Cristo original music in knowing God’s commands for all people, being all based on His words written in the Bible.
Right after were the performance of Christian songs, such as God’s Calling You, Everything Is Clear In The Church Of Christ, Ngayon Na (Now Is The Time), I’ll Hold On Tightly To My Hope, and Still Blessed By God. The Agusan del Norte Production Company, Libertad Voices of Faith, and choral groups from the Lemon, Cabadbaran, Mandacpan, and Butuan City Congregations showcased these. There were also audio-visual presentations featuring convert stories of brethren, some of whom are now Church officers.
“I’m grateful for the experience. It feels fulfilling, being able to express God’s words to people through singing,” said choir member Lodela Antonio from Butuan City Congregation.
One of the guests, Michael Lopez, 50, shared, “It’s my first time attending this kind of activity in the Church Of Christ. I’m glad and thankful that I witnessed all of the performances.” Another guest Avelino Asoy, 69, added, “Impeccable. It’s a pleasure to be here.”
“This evangelistic activity is very important to fulfill God’s will, that is, for people to know the truth and attain salvation on Judgment Day. That is why we will never stop in propagating God’s words because this is what pleases Him,” said district Light of Salvation overseer Brother Dexter Tubig. — With assistance from Michael Calo
