On January 2, 2026, hundreds of Negrenses attended evangelical missions that local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Negros Oriental, in the Philippines, hosted at respective houses of worship. These activities were the earliest of the brethren’s efforts to propagate the gospel this year.
For these occasions, district supervising minister Brother Renato Callejo preached God’s words at the house worship of the Local Congregation of Bacong while his fellow ministers and ministerial workers at other houses of worship.
The biblical lesson they taught emphasized seeking first God’s kingdom and righteousness over material needs. As the Bible attests, God’s kingdom is the true Church Of Christ and His righteousness is the pristine gospel or His words written in the Bible. Prioritizing these by entering the Church and always obeying God’s will, man finds the way to receive not only God’s bountiful blessings in this life but also His promise of salvation come Judgment Day.
“I continue to take an active part in the work of propagation because inviting guests to know the true faith is a command from the Lord God for more people to be saved,” explained deacon from the Dumaguete City Local Congregation Jose Coyoca Jr.
Coyoca was able to invite and bring over Dyan Mapula who shared what she observed during the evangelistic activity, “Men and women are seated separately and there are no graven images. These broaden my religious perspective. Given the opportunity to attend again, I’d participate in future gatherings.”
On behalf of his family, Coyoca said that they will “continue uniting with the Church Administration in sharing God’s words with our fellowmen come what may in our lives.” — With assistance from Jonathan C. Rempillo
